Hello my friends.
It’s been a while and in truth I’ve not written this post to share pearls of wisdom or some giggles.
I’m on the bludge!
I have scanxiety… or rather results anxiety which has kicked in like an elephant has kicked me in the wahoopy!
I’m a bit of a veteran receiving results, however things have changed with my tumour (or rather the yucky bits around it)
So next Monday I’m potentially receiving some make or break news. Make- it’s stable, stand down troops. Break- stand by your beds it’s a shitaster!
So, When I do alllll the right things….. walking, exercise, crochet, mindfulness, meditation etc… you name it, I do it. What else can I adopt to help me?
THE WHOLE FILLING MY PANTS WITH FEAR THOUGHTS JUST DOES NOT STOP.
So, has anyone got ANY snazzy whizz bang ideas or cunning plans I can use this next week to see me through before my results next Monday.
The winner gets to hug Apple pug.
Thank you from a rather tired, befuddled fairy whose wings can’t sparkle at the moment.
Much love xxx
Oh my darling I’ll be thinking of you and saying my prayers. I have no great words of wisdom to help you but you’re one of the strongest women I know. You have a rock of a family, you’ll get through this, of that I’m sure.
Now let’s get those wings sparkling again and we’ll kick this. Only positive vibes this week madam and plenty of Apple cuddles xxx

Oh Sandra thank you for this. Yes thank goodness for Apple this week. I’m just off to find my big girl pants…. maybe they will work 😂 Lots of love xxx

Your wings are still fluttering and sparkling just a little slower. I will fly beside you and hold your hand. My advice, which is pretty pathetic and hard to do is to try your very hardest not to think about what will happen on the 16th – just take it a few hours at a time otherwise all this overthinking does no one any good and is too much to process. U r a warrior even if u don’t feel much like another fight but we are all here to help in whatever small way we can. Sending you a big hug filled with fondest love and warmth dear girl xxxxx

Oh no! So sad you have to keep going through these hard waiting times, knowing you may be facing bad news. All I can say is DRUGS!! Or a time machine to either fast forward to a better day or go backwards and repeat your favorite year.
Good luck, honey. My thoughts will be with you!

Thanks Susan. Until things calm down or get worse it’s going to stay every 3 months, until I throw my toys out of the pram! As my time machine is broken I’m using some drugs to help calm me… thanks so much xxx

Nancy I can’t think of anything to suggest other than what you’re already doing, Apple cuddles will definately help🍏

Wow, that’s such a tough one, Nancy! I am feeling for you! Our minds are so hard to tame and you are already doing all the right things to try and calm it. How about listening to all the songs that lift you up and make you feel good? Music truly is magic. Will be thinking of you all week and absolutely hope for the best! Much love to you!

Thank you so much. Yes music is a real help and really does stop the anxious chatter. Maybe I should wear headphones at the moment so I have it all the time! Much love xxx

Nancy, what can I say, sometimes the tools we have gathered just don’t cut the mustard anymore….Yoga with Adriene is my absolute best way to calm down….her voice is so relaxing never mind the yoga…..4-7-8 breathing is good….but the thoughts still come back to your mind…try and distract yourself as much as possible….I am thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way xxx

Morning lovely Nancy 🌸💚🌸
It’s a tricky one as you’re already doing the obvious things like exercise and stuff you love – crochet…
As the other Nancy said, playing positive upbeat music is also a great idea, it’s emotive and has been proven to alter your mood…
My Hannah is at uni and going through a hard time – she loves watching films and finds them a distraction… Could you plan a holiday for later in the year, something to research and look forward to… Can you dance? Learn how to tango, jive, foxtrot, waltz…whatever…from a youtube video with Mr Avocado…could be a giggle if he’s up for it… Drawing! Even if you can’t…you could try a portrait of Apple while she sleeps…and then move on to ones of your family… Go shopping to your favourite shops… Check out Pinterest – there are lots of fab textile toadstools people have made and pinned…being creative does it for me…
Sending big hugs and love Nancy xx💚🌸💚🌸💚

You don’t even want to know how sweary the tags would be this week! I’m trying the baby steps thing… along with lots of music to shush the panic. I’ll get there. Just have to don’t we xxx

I think you’ve done amazingly well so far and I know your shitting a brick but I think all you can do is carry on as you have done, maybe plan a road trip, journey or something you’ve always wanted to do, especially if there is lots to plan it will take up your thinking time. Fingers crossed for goodish news. Xxx

Yes goodish news is exactly what I’m hoping for. If the weather is good this weekend we might hit some National Trust properties. The thought of a picnic in the sun makes me so happy. Then again I’m a dreamer so I might well have to put up with a thermos of tea in the car 😂😂 thank you so much xxx

Gosh that’s tricky, and my thoughts will be with you, just take a moment to ask questions and time afterwards to absorb what has been said, and stay positive, my mum always says to me although it’s hard when you’re going through it, there’s always someone is a worse situation, which maybe doesn’t help but helps to focus on the positive. I find crochet a great calmer of the mind, walking, swimming, and seeing family. Give yourself time that day, get into bed with a cuppa and either way stay strong and give yourself a little treat x

Thanks Jude. I’ve started a blanket for my son so that will hopefully keep some of the scary thoughts away. Much love xxx

I wish the best for you. I had breast cancer 15 years ago. The waiting was one huge panic attic. I tried to keep life normal, even though it was NOT normal. I had kids in high school & college, so there was some distraction. I’d say normalcy & distraction were my salvation. Keeping you in my prayers 🙏🏼

Yes my surgery chemo and radio was nearly 13 years ago but last year things changed and because no one has really lived this long with my tumour everyone is a bit stumped! Thank you for your kindness! Xx

I can highly recommend singing/cookery master classes. Both at the same time of course and all recorded and streamed to the world at large.
(The worse the singing the better you feel. 😘)

Am afraid I have no pearls of wisdom other than the positive affirmation that you are bloody awesome. There’s nowt I can say to stop your understandable worry. Other than if we could borrow the tardis and travel through wibbly wobbly timey wimey… That way we could get the make news quicker 🤞❤

I found a tardis on ebay once! Wonder if it was the real thing 😂

Oh my lovely friend, I hate thinking of you all knocky knee-d and I wish I could help (sorry for only just reading this too), have you tried sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting la la la and pretending it’s not happening? What, that doesn’t help? I know it’s too late to offer advice really, but if you can’t sleep tonight, can you lose yourself in a favourite book? I know gorgeous Mr A, Freya and dear Apple will give you wonderful hugs, and I’ll be with you in spirit tomorrow. Just make sure you have words with that cheeky mouse and unicorn so they don’t go escaping again, after all, what would your consultant say? 😘😘 There’s a little something in the post, I hope it makes smile. Lots and lots of love and hugs xxxxx 💕💕💕
