GULP

fullsizerenderI felt it was about time to stop procrastinating, find some brave juice and bloody well write something.

I suspect I will be just writing to myself for a long time, maybe forever but hey ho I’m easily pleased. Seriously, far too easily.

Firstly, I need to get the apologies in. Namely for my awful grammar, demented spelling and most importantly my ghastly potty mouth, none of these issues will ever improve! I am sure said faults are technically not my fault though… It’s all the radiation to the brain. Now how many of you can use that as an excuse?

Annoyingly, after having all the radiation humanly possible to my noggin, I frustratingly failed to acquire any cool super human powers (all that marvel training for nothing dammit). However it did give me a wonderful sense of perspective, an ability not give in to really tough and shitty things and a penchant for all things creative, namely crochet. I am fairly convinced that creative pursuits have saved my remaining marbles. Thinking about it though, I should also give some credit to my family and the glorious health benefits of gin. Lovely wonderful gin!

So for the purposes of clarity and manners, I had better do the basics…

My name is Nancy (avocadofairy on instagram) I am 41 and living a full and happy life despite the owner of a stable grade 3 brain tumour and its crappy legacy its chosen to leave me. I’ve come out of my safe bubble to share some funny tales, handy hints, pretty froo froo things and most importantly some hope. Hope that life can still be great despite the bad things that happen.

Blumming heck this IS exciting!

LOVE NANCY X

PS How fabulous are these toadstools that I found on my morning walk in the woods today?

  1. Hello Nancy! Welcome to the wonderful world of Blogland! It’s so nice to have your company here after following you on Instagram for a while. That first post is a BIG step, but it gets so much easier as you go along. I can’t wait to see your future posts πŸ™‚

  3. I’ve only seen toadstools like that in storybooks…They are totally fabulous, as is your first blog post:) I really love the fun energy and the positive vibes that you constantly emit, Nancy, and I adore your cheeky vocabulary and horrid grammar, which, by American standards, is still heads and shoulders above even the most-educated of degree holders that we have here. What I’m trying to say, is that you are as refreshing as a gin cocktail, and my life is even better since I have met you! I’m looking forward to reading your posts and embracing the hygge:)

    Always your friend,
    ~Cassie
